What we mark

  • Serial numbers and part numbers
  • Lot, batch and date codes
  • QR codes and barcodes
  • Company logos and maker’s marks
  • Asset tags, valve tags and ID plates
  • Text, warnings and instructions

Laser marks don’t wear off the way ink, stickers or stamped labels can. Each mark is consistent from the first part to the last, so codes stay readable and your logo looks the same on every piece.

Our industrial laser engraving equipment

We run three machines, so we can match the process to your part and your spec.

  • Fiber laser (LaserStar FiberCube): permanent marks on bare and coated metals, with a 4″ x 4″ marking area per placement. A rotary attachment lets us mark shafts, tubes, rings and other round parts.
  • CO2 laser (Epilog Fusion 40, 50 watt): a 40″ x 28″ bed for larger pieces, plastics, nameplates and panels, plus wood, leather, glass and acrylic. It also cuts acrylic and wood.
  • Rotary engraver (Gravograph M40): diamond drag and cutter engraving for tags, nameplates and parts where a mechanically engraved mark is called for.

Materials

We mark stainless steel, carbon and tool steel, aluminum (bare and anodized), brass and coated or painted metals. On the CO2 laser we also engrave plastics, engraving laminates, wood, leather, glass and acrylic. If your material isn’t listed, ask us, and we’ll tell you whether we can mark it and how.

Flat, round and odd-shaped parts

Flat parts are the simplest, and round parts go on the rotary. We also consider unusual shapes, since the right fixture can make a tricky part easy to mark. Send a photo or drawing, and we’ll let you know what will work before you ship anything.

From prototypes to production runs

We handle a few prototype parts as well as large production runs. Volume pricing is available on larger orders, and the more parts you run, the lower the cost per mark. For repeat jobs, we keep your artwork and settings on file, so reorders are fast and every batch matches the last one.

Who we work with

  • Machine shops: part numbers, serial numbers and customer logos on finished parts
  • Manufacturers and industrial part makers: traceability codes, ID plates and branding
  • Knife makers: maker’s marks and logos on blades
  • Jewelry makers: logos and maker’s marks on metal pieces
  • Medical suppliers and equipment vendors: IDs and markings on instruments, tools and equipment
  • Facilities and utilities: engraved valve tags, asset tags and equipment labels
  • Offices and healthcare facilities: ADA signs and engraved name badges and desk plates

How quoting works

  1. Tell us about the job. Use the form below to send the part, material, quantity, what the mark should say and your deadline.
  2. Send drawings or artwork. Email PDF, DXF, AI, EPS or SVG files to sales@signaturelaserdesigns.com with your company name. Photos of the part help too.
  3. Get your quote. We’ll confirm the mark size, location and process, and send pricing. For new jobs, we can mark a sample part for your approval first.
  4. We mark and return your parts. Ship your parts to us, and we’ll mark them, check them and send them back.
