Oval hat patches give caps, bags and jackets a rugged, finished look with your own logo or name.

These oval hat patches are cut from thick 1.57 mm faux leather with a stitched-look border and a textured finish in nine earthy colors. Each patch comes with heat-activated adhesive already on the back, so it’s ready to press onto hats, bags, totes and apparel. Small shops, teams, breweries and makers order them to brand their own merchandise, and they work just as well for a single gift hat.

Personalization

We laser engrave your logo, name, brand or design into the faux leather, and it engraves to a dark, nearly black tone that stands out on every color. All patches in your order get the same design. Simple text and bold logos read best at this size, so we’ll let you know if a design has very thin lines or tiny text.

How to apply your patches

Each patch has a heat-activated adhesive on the back, so you’ll need a heat press to attach it. A hat press works best for caps, and a flat press works for bags, jackets and blankets. These steps follow the manufacturer’s directions:

1. Set a hat press to about 330°F on top and 320°F on the bottom, or set a single flat press to about 300°F.
2. Prepress the hat or item for about 20 seconds to drive out moisture.
3. Place the patch, then hold it down with your fingers for a few seconds so the adhesive starts to grab.
4. Cover the patch with a 1/16″ silicone pad. Next, press at medium pressure for about 22–30 seconds on a hat press, or 35–50 seconds on a single flat press.
5. Finally, let it cool completely before you handle or wear it.

Presses and fabrics vary, so we recommend testing on a scrap piece first. For extra hold on bags or jackets, you can also stitch around the edge. Hand washing is recommended.

Next, we email you a free digital proof, and production starts once you approve it. Finally, we engrave every patch at our shop in Georgia and check it before it ships.
