Caring for your board

Wipe the slate clean with a damp cloth. Then hand wash the acacia wood and dry it right away. Don’t soak it or put it in the dishwasher. Because slate is natural stone, use it for serving and light slicing rather than heavy chopping. Also, a little food-grade mineral oil now and then keeps the wood looking rich.

Then our team lays out simple text using clean, classic fonts; if you want a specific font or layout, just add a note. However, if you add a logo or custom artwork, we’ll email you a free digital proof first and start production once you approve it. Finally, we engrave every piece to order at our shop in Georgia and check it before it ships.
